Introspections is a collection of works, created over the span of several years. Each piece serves as an exploration of a particular moment in the artist’s life. Every drawing is a meditation on Iva’s personal experiences with death, mental health battles, and the connection with something greater than ourselves. It is a visual record of longing, grief, and the search for belonging. Through charcoal and gesture, Iva translates emotion into form, inviting the viewer into a dialogue between vulnerability, resilience, despair and hope.
